Why there are problems with heating
There may be several causes for the problem. External signs will help to figure them out. First of all, indicators on thermostats are checked. Many users wonder: what temperature should be set on the boiler? The maximum and minimum values are indicated in the operating instructions. For models of different companies - such as Buderus, Bosch, Navien, Vailant - indicators may vary.
Most often, the nominal heating temperature on the controller is 80 degrees. However, experts recommend setting no more than 60 degrees. At higher rates, the water heats up more, and this contributes to the deposition of scale. When it covers the walls of the heat exchanger, heat transfer is reduced. As a result, the unit overheats, and the system, on the contrary, does not warm up entirely.
The outdoor temperature sensor measures the readings in the room. In accordance with them, it automatically regulates the heating.

Causes and troubleshooting
What else could be the cause of poor heating? Consider possible problems and solutions.
Incorrect burner flame regulation. Moreover, the temperature does not exceed 40-60 ° C. Add flame. To do this, dismantle the boiler body by first unscrewing the fastening screws. Strengthen the flame power by turning the burner control. Follow the settings, you may need to additionally increase or decrease the power.
Coolant speed decreases. This means that the system is rapidly losing heat. Why does this happen:
- Leaking in radiators, pipes. Check all connections, joints. Swipe it with a dry cloth. If a leak is detected, this area must be sealed. For this, a plumbing tow or a special sealant is suitable. Recharge the system with coolant.
- Incorrect pump adjustment. Circulation pumps are sometimes equipped with a speed controller. To increase the speed of the fluid, set a higher rate.
- Incorrect installation or connection of the system. Make sure that all shut-off valves are open and that water flows smoothly into the radiators.
- Air congestion also delays circulation. To eliminate them, Maevsky cranes are used, which are located on batteries. Substitute the container and unscrew the tap. Air will come out with the liquid. Then close the valves and make sure that the system is working properly.
Automation Fails. Perhaps one of the sensors sends a false signal, so the operation of the boiler is blocked when the temperature rises. It is necessary to diagnose all parts, their wiring and contacts.
Wrong technique for power. There is such a thing as boiler timing. If the power is too large for your area, then the unit will often turn off, reaching a certain temperature. At the same time, the room will not warm up well. What temperature should be set in this case? Regulators will not help here. You will have to include additional radiators in the circuit or change the settings of the gas valve. If this option does not suit you, then it remains only to replace the boiler with a less powerful one.
Jumps gas pressure. Unscrew the fuel valve to the end, check for serviceability. Sometimes excess lubrication interferes with the gas supply. Remove excess from valve parts.
Poor combustion products. This happens with poor traction. The outlet gas temperature is about 120 ° C. This leads to overheating of the boiler, malfunctions. Moreover, with poor air intake, the flame becomes unstable.
Check the traction by bringing the lit match to the control window. If the air flow is normal, then the flame will deviate to the side. If not, it will burn evenly. In this case, clean the chimney from blockages.
Heat exchanger blockage. As we wrote above, scale is deposited on the tubes of the assembly. The sediment narrows the passage for water, so the pressure and temperature drop. The liquid inside begins to boil, and soon the heat exchanger fails. If the temperature drops for this reason, it is necessary to dismantle and clean the unit from scale. Use reagents and a pump to pump the coil passages. To avoid repetition, install magnetic water filters.
